I was trying to think of a different way to decorate my mantle for Christmas and thought maybe I could do something interesting with some mason jars I had in my cupboard. Firstly I filled the jars with some epsom salts to look like snow and dropped some votive candles inside. Then I arranged the jars across the mantle at random heights and space apart. I had a garland that I purchased at Michaels for about $10 (all of their "Celebrate It" merchadise is 50% off right now) and I wove this in front and behind the jars across the length of the mantle. I put a couple of the jars on small stands to create different heights and I placed the garland in front of these stands to hide them. Lastly I placed a few pinecones, decorative berries and pears around the jars for a simple country Christmas look.
